The Stoney Creek Church of Christ supports John Kisarmoi and his work in Kajiado Co, Kenya. John and his wife, Naomi have 2 sons, Hillary and Leyian. John is a 2018 graduate of the Bear Valley Institute Extension in Arusha, Tanzania, a preaching school Andrew Connally was instrumental in starting.

‍John is of the Masai people and works with them in the highlands of southeast Kenya. John started a congregation about 12 miles from his home in the Meto Hills region of Kajiado Co. in 2019. He worked there until a couple of men from there were trained and moved about 20 miles from his home and started another congregation. The Emukeya Church of Christ. The area is high desert. We have helped, along with several other congregations in the East TN/SW VA area, dig an 812 ft. well for a dependable water source and install a filtration system that renders the water potable.

During the golden age of broadcasting, there was a dire need to teach the Gospel through radio. Wesley Simons, the preacher for the Stoney Creek church of Christ, desired to begin a program that would earnestly contend for the faith. This program would not be like the rest of religious programming, but a new concept where people could call in and have a live Bible study over the air. After much elaboration with WZAP Radio in Bristol, VA and support of the church of Christ,  the Arise To Truth radio program aired for the first time March 5th 1985.
